Dr Bajaj holds office of the Federation of Seed Industry of India (FSII) and Alliance for Agri Innovation (AAI) as the Executive Director. He manages the 40-member led association to drive public policies and advocates for adoption of seed and biotechnology policy, innovation, new technologies, breeding applications in the agriculture sector. Dr Bajaj works with stakeholders such as central and state governments, regulators, media to inform and educate them about the role and benefits of biotechnology for farmers and agriculture. Previously, as the Executive Director of Association of Biotech Led Enterprises- Agriculture Focus Group (ABLE AG), he represented the industry on agricultural biotechnology across National and International platforms.
Ms. Mallika is the Director of Government Affairs in the Association. She brings with her over 26 years of experience in policy advocacy, government- industry relations, opinion building, trade and investment promotion, event planning and execution in agribusiness and food processing. Prior to joining FSII, she worked for the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) as Director and HOD, Agribusiness and Food Processing. She has also served as Joint Director and Team lead, Food processing at FICCI, and headed the MoFPI – Investor Guidance Help Desk for food processing at INVEST INDIA (India’s premier investment promotion agency). She successfully launched and led the Food Processing Skill council (FICSI – a joint initiative of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship with Industry) as its CEO. She also had a brief association of two years, with the Government of India as Economic Investigator in Ministry of Rural Development at the start of her career.
Dr Kumria runs the day to day affairs of Alliance for Agri Innovation (AAI) and its relations with stakeholders related to Agri Biotech especially in Government and Regulatory Agencies. She keeps continuous track of latest scientific and policy developments and biotech advocacy. Dr Kumria has a Ph.D in genetics from University of Delhi, South Campus. She did her post-doctoral studies at ICGEB-New Delhi and Donald Danforth Center, Saint Louis, Missouri. Previously, she has worked with DuPont Pioneer at DuPont Knowledge Center for trait discovery. She led a team responsible for characterizing a transgene undergoing de-regulation and high throughput evaluation platform for lead identification for maize at DuPont Pioneer.
Debarati handles all internal and external communication of the association. She corresponds with employees and external stakeholders to keep them informed of the developments in the association. Prior to this role, she worked with Edelman India Private Limited as an Account Manager in the Public Affairs practice for close to 4 years. During her stint at Edelman, she consulted clients and strategised for government communications, corporate communications, stakeholder engagements – government, third party, regulatory bodies etc, advocacy and crisis management. With 7+ years of experience, she has worked with clients across agriculture, energy, healthcare, technology, along with Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
Varun is a graduate in Arts and have more than 9 years of experience. He worked as an Office Coordinator with Convertech Equipment Okhla. Prior to Convertech, he was associated with All India Distillers Association Delhi as an Executive Assistant for close to 5 years, before this organization, he worked as a Sr. Executive Assistant with Aravali Infrapower Limited Delhi for 5 and a half years. As the Office Coordinator of FSII, he takes care of all administrative activities such as Office Management, Travel arrangements, Vendor Management, Scheduling appointments and meetings among others.
With over 2 years of professional experience in accounting, she works as an Account executive in FSII. Ms Tomar handles the accounts, financial reports and budgets of the organisation. She has an MBA in Finance.
